Nature and Scope
of Work

Enlightened staffs and operates the HUD Direct Distribution Center (DDC) which has three components:

  • Customer Service Center (CSC)
  • Quick Copy Center (also known as the Duplication Facility and Print-On-Demand center)
  • Fulfillment Center

Description of Products and Services Provided
to Customer

Enlightened provides the Direct Distribution Center (DDC) for the HUD with on-site administrative, management, and customer service support services for all hard copy HUD documents. Enlightened responds to toll-free telephone calls, faxes, E-mails, and walk-in requests for HUD Directives, Publications, Brochures, Leaflets and Forms.  These requests require the printing, binding, and delivery of the document. Also, a multitude of ADP-generated reports are produced for HUD Management. Additional responsibilities in staffing and operation of the center include:

  • Recordkeeping
  • Reporting
  • Weekly/Monthly Reporting
  • Inventory Reporting
  • Task Management
  • Order Management

Outcome/Value/Benefit to Customer

Enlightened allows HUD to successfully respond to public citizens requesting one of the tens of thousands of HUD documents. Enlightened helps HUD to support those who do not have access to any electronic tools and rely solely on the telephone and US Postal service to meet their needs.
