Enlightened supported the Office of Information and Technology’s (OI&T) strategic planning effort by providing innovative strategies for implementing goals and objectives. Enlightened provided assistance in developing the IT Strategic Plan and managed performance accountability for the third largest federal agency.

Enlightened provided outstanding support and delivered high quality products in support of OI&T’s strategic planning effort:
- Designed an effective IT strategic planning process to ensure IT strategic plans align with business and tactical plans, enterprise architecture, and IT budgeting.
- Developed and implemented an IT strategic planning methodology.
- Performed critical success factor analyses by identifying gaps between business strategy and current IT capabilities; strategic options and alternatives required to close the gaps; and changes to IT strategy effectiveness.
- Analyzed business wants and needs to ensure IT strategic goals and objectives accurately represent customer demands and recommended SMART measures for execution of performance targets.
- Developed and designed a user focused and effective web presence to champion the IT strategic mission and vision.

Enlightened helped to formulate OI&T’s strategic planning process and contributed to tangible outputs:
- Developed and published the Information Technology (IT) Strategic Plan FY 2006 - FY 2011 and the Strategic Plan FY 2006 - FY 2011 Handbook for Employees.
- Established an IT strategy process framework, a.k.a. Scope, Assess, Execute, and Monitor (SAEM) methodology.
