Over the project lifecycle, Enlightened performed the following:
- Developed a project plan
- Defined FFPMS requirements
- Reviewed USAID’s Information Technology architecture, standards, and principles
- Established baseline requirements for future tool and data-repository enhancements.
- Analyzed alternative systems and provided recommendations.
Enlightened conducted a baseline analysis of the existing FFP system. After establishing the baseline requirements, feasibility studies were conducted including an Alternative Analysis to evaluate multiple products that could meet FFP requirements. Enlightened then analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of the two finalists selected from the Alternative Analysis. An FPP Working Group evaluation was conducted in order to evaluate the two finalists through product demonstrations and staff assistance.
Enlightened also conducted a gap analysis to compare gaps between the finalist offerings and the FFP requirements. To further analyze the finalists, the vendors were requested to customize their application to FFP and demonstrate the product multiple times to USAID FFP management.
As a result of the business process review, Enlightened made final recommended solutions for the best tool to provide maximum support of the Food for Peace Strategic Objective – To reduce food insecurity in vulnerable populations.
