Nature and Scope of Work |
To provide information technology system assistance support for the redesign of USAID’s Food for Peace Management System (FFPMS). Food For Peace (FFP) tracks USAID administered food aid delivered to foreign countries and supports targeted emergency relief and development projects across the globe. Enlightened conducted a technology review of their systems and recommended improvements for USAID’s future business processes tool. |
Description of Products and Services Provided to Customer |
Over the project lifecycle, Enlightened performed the following:
- Developed a project plan
- Defined FFPMS requirements
- Reviewed USAID’s Information Technology architecture, standards, and principles
- Created the FPP Working Group to conduct feasibility studies and alternative analyses to evaluate multiple vendor products that could meet FFP requirements. The FPP Working Group also conducted product demonstrations to evaluate the vendor finalists.
- Conducted a gap analysis between the finalist offerings and the FFP requirements. Evaluated vendor customizations for feasibility and fit with FFP requirements. Reported findings to USAID FFP management.

Outcome/Value/Benefit to Customer |
Enlightened streamlined the administration of USAID’s Title II Program and provided integration of supporting systems. Enlightened’s recommendations for the FFPMS allowed USAID to focus on and be more responsive in providing vital disaster relief and humanitarian assistance. |
