THE BUREAU OF LABOR STATISTICS AWARDS ENLIGHTENED A TASK ORDER FOR A SECURITY REVIEW ASSESSMENT

WASHINGTON (OCTOBER 15): Enlightened, Inc. ("Enlightened"), a leading provider of Information Technology (IT) consulting services, announced today it has been awarded a new task order under an existing blanket purchase agreement with the US Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).

Since 2006, BLS has engaged Enlightened to conduct the agency’s independent assessments of their internal information systems’ security implementations and practices. Under the new task order, Enlightened will provide a Security Controls Assessment (SCA) for the agency’s LAN/WAN information system.

Enlightened will identify the implemented management, technical, and operational controls and highlight any security deficiencies in the LAN/WAN information system according to National Institute for Standards and Technology’s (NIST) 800-53 Recommended Security Controls for Federal Information Systems. Enlightened will also provide recommendations for security program improvement.
